Pre-Vet Society Vice-President
As the FIU Pre-Veterinary Society Vice- President (2019-2020), my duties include assuming the responsibilities of the President in her absence. I'm responsible for contacting potential guest speakers and veterinary colleges' admission representatives via email and also responding to club emails and inquiries. Also, I contribute and participate in meetings, fundraisings, and social and university events, such as the Freshman orientations.

Pre-Vet Society Treasurer
2018-2020 E-board.
As the FIU Pre-Veterinary Society Treasurer (2018-2019), I was responsible for maintaining an up to date financial record of the organization's bank account, including any transactions, withdrawals, and deposits, and keeping an organized money box with a history of the amount of cash-on-hand. I was also in charge of filling out purchase request forms to secure funds for trips and general meetings. I regularly contacted the Council for Student Organizations (CSO) and the Activity Service and Business Office (ASBO) regarding received finances or payments needed.
APVMA Symposium 2018
While participating in the American Pre-Veterinary Medical Association (APVMA) Symposium at Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine, fellow FIU Pre- Veterinary members and I participated in a series of lectures and a hands-on laboratory. My particular laboratory was about suturing, where I learned to perform different knots. I also attended lectures about reproduction, neuroscience, zoo animal medicine, and vet school application process, among others. This symposium was an excellent opportunity for getting to know fellow pre-vet members from other universities, and for learning more about the veterinary medicine field.

Goat Yoga
The FIU Pre-Veterinary Society organized two goat yoga events, accessible not only to FIU students but to the community as well. It was a fun and learning experience, where the participants were able to interact with the goats directly.
