While volunteering at DuMond Conservancy for Primates & Tropical Forests trough the FIU Pre-Veterinary Society, I had the opportunity to work directly with owl monkeys. My responsibilities included preparing and distributing owl monkey's food, giving them treats, and cleaning their cages. I also helped to restore the naturally forested area where the monkeys live and created and distributed foraging activities as enrichment for these monkeys.
