ABOUT ELIZABETH MARTINEZ

IMG_9510.jpg

I have an engaged interest in environmental conservation, education, wildlife protection, and veterinary medicine.

I'm originally from Pinar del Rio, Cuba, and I came to United States when I was sixteen years old. Currently, I'm an undergraduate student at Florida International University, where I will be obtaining a Bachelor's in Biology in December 2019. I have the honor of being part of the FIU Global Learning Medallion Program, which has increased my global awareness, global perspective, and attitude of global engagement.

In the future, I hope to become an Aquatic Veterinarian and combine all my areas of interest, but focus on marine fauna: research, marine wildlife conservation, and aspects of clinical medicine. One of my goals is to combine my interest in animals and traveling while participating in national and international conservation programs to preserve endangered marine wildlife.
